Hot meals are cooked in the school kitchen and are available at a cost of £2.10 per day. Children may bring their own sandwiches if they prefer. Some parents are entitled to claim free school meals for their children if they are in receipt of Income Support, Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, Support under part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999, Child Tax Credit (1) provided that Working Tax Credit is not included (2) and that the ‘ annual income for Tax Credit purposes’, is within the guidelines for the financial year, the ‘Guarantee’ element of State Pension Credit. Free School meals forms can be obtained from the school office.
A menu is sent out at the beginning of each season and includes a vegetarian option. Any other special dietary requirements should be reported to the cook who will only be too pleased to make special arrangements.
