Sex Education forms part of the programme of health education that is taught throughout the school. It is important that children’s self awareness is developed through a wide range of issues such as ‘keeping safe’, ‘healthy eating’, ‘personal hygiene’ and ‘growing and changing’.

A range of teaching materials is used to help children understand the ways their bodies change and their personal relationships become more complex.
At all times teachers will treat such subjects sensitively, taking into account the age and development of the children both socially and emotionally.
